Feminism
Feminist philosophies first arisen as early as
1774 in Republications such as a justification of the rights of women by Marry
Wollstonecraft, “The Changing Woman”. After that women started careers in
higher education including philosophy. Feminism is based on the statement that
women and men are different; that for women to be equal to men means should be
treating equal men and women have freedom of life like men have. The Feminist association
or simply feminism raise to a series of politician movements for
reorganizations on problems such as procreative rights, domestic violence , maternity
leave, equal pay, women’s suffrage, sexual harassment, and sexual violence all
of which fall under the label of feminism.
There are many kind of feminism
Liberal feminism
Radical feminism
Marxist and social feminism
Cultural feminism and Eco- feminism
Liberal feminism is one of the initial methods
of feminism, and it is explaining that women’s secondary status in society
based on unequal opportunities and isolation from men. Emergent out the
objector and women’s association in the US, the body of the feminism focuses on
rejecting gender difference. Liberal believes that states can work together to
exploit poverty and reduce clash. Liberalism is one of the main schools of
international relations theory.
Radical feminism is an approach
within feminism that calls for radical reorganization of society in which male
supremacy is removed in all social and economic contexts, while recognizing
that women’s experiences are also affected by other social division such as in
race, class and sexual orientation.
Cultural Feminism is a form of
feminism which highlights necessary difference between men and women, based on
genetic differences in reproductive ability. Cultural feminism points to those
differences common and superior qualities in women. The feminist movement has
effected change in Western society, including women’s suffrage, greater access to
education ; more fair pay with men; the right to initiate divorce proceeding
and the rights of women to make them individual and more strong. True feminism is seeks to liberate all women
and fight for rights, struggle to get equal place, equal pay and equal jobs and
opportunities in society.
